“Rediscovering National Freedom through Truth, Faith in Christ, and an understanding of factual history…resulting in personal holiness, freedom and power.”

GrassrootsGod…what is it?
Grassroots God is my personal belief that America was the creation primarily of people that had a personal faith in Jesus Christ. And because of that faith, the American culture was a reflection of personal excellence and morality. A benefit of the personal excellence and morality was a productive, civil society.
So, for today’s culture I will add the disclaimer that not all past individuals were Christians, nor ethical, nor moral, and that even good men and women sometimes fall. But the general bend of the American culture was toward those better things.
Much of what I will say here initially will eventually be moved to an “About Us” page, but an introduction of me, as the creator of this website is appropriate.
I want this website to eventually not be about me (I have other avenues for personal expression to capitalize on), but for now my life, experiences and thoughts are the soil in which this website will germinate. I am currently a Union Journeyman Glazier (I set glass, not glaze donuts), getting close to retirement.
Because of my travel each day to the jobsite, I am currently away from home between 14 to 16 hours per day.
I wanted to wait until I was partially retired at the end of the year to get into the battle, but like many other Americans who daily seek to serve God, I hear the enemy outside the gate. It is now time for me and many other Americans to tell our families to bar the door behind us as we leave and run to the wall to defend our nation.
Because of the time constraints caused by my current work I will utilize a number of past essays and poetry that I have written over the past twenty years to convey my thoughts. I do not think I will revise the past essays, because as I read them now the only things that have changed are the names of the politicians or groups. I will add some context about the time in which my past essays were written, but I will let them stand as is. Treachery seems to use the same script and playbook but with different actors and athletes.
So here is our current Mission Statement:
“Rediscovering National Freedom through Truth, Faith in Christ, and an understanding of factual history…resulting in personal holiness, freedom and power.”
If I define my past thirty years, it would be survival by God’s Grace. I think that is really the story of many of us who seek to follow our Savior Jesus. We struggle to feed and clothe our families. We fight against enemies we cannot touch, but we feel. The enemies of inflation, government intrusions in business, speech and church are crushing us under the waves of propaganda, fake news and mandates. And if the waves do not crush us, as they retreat back to sea, they capture us in the riptide of toxic culture and personal attacks.
So, in the midst of these struggles to survive the influence of the church has been severely compromised. The compromise entered through the personal lives of the congregants and the weakness of the leaders. The church was called to be “salt and light” to each society, IT IS NOT the society. Because of this compromise by the church the American culture is quickly disintegrating.
So today on July Fourth I am launching this website, with my personal Declaration of what I believe the tyranny we endure is and where it comes from. My list of grievances against the Crown of the Ruling Elites and Oligarchs will follow more completely over the next year here and at other websites I am developing. But, for now as part of my launch I am including a poem that I wrote in 2002 which still speaks clearly of the nature of Freedom, and how we keep it…or loose it.
“The Battlefield of Life”
by Marty Dow
September 2002
“My country trusts in arms of war to prosper and defend,
She thinks that all her enemies are other than within,
To her the cost of freedom, is measured by a life,
Given on a battlefield, the Battle Field of Strife,
So many souls have sacrificed their life for her dear cause,
And died in woods and fields away from notice or applause,
They faced an enemy she chose to conquer and resist,
But the cost is higher, I really must insist,
The men who founded freedom knew the secret of their goal,
True Liberty was found within the founding Father’s soul,
For they knew we all would face adversity and strife,
True Liberty is given on the Battlefield of Life,
The enemy of Freedom is within the soul of man,
How can soldiers liberate the conscience of a land,
Our soldier’s sacrifice is honored, and I must agree,
That without their service, our land would not be free,
But freedom asks another price for us each to give,
We win the war for freedom in the way we choose to live,
For sin, and self, and greed and filth cut us like a knife,
And Liberty will die upon the Battlefield of Life,
But if we choose to honor God we will be secure,
For sacrifice and righteousness surely will endure,
His Life not ours we must lead, each and every day,
For the Son has liberated the chosen on the way,
And so I say our freedom lays not in the death we give,
But in our God who dwells in us, and causes us to live,
We fight for Him on bended knee, ignoring pain and strife,
And daily fight for Liberty on the Battlefield of Life,”
